Welcome to the Col. Sudhir Farm website. Our farm is situated 15 kms. south-east of Kota which is on the banks of the river Chambal whose waters support much of the life and activity in this part of India.
We welcome paying guests to our spacious home, near Kota, to live as family on a full board basis. With us you will experience life on a peaceful farm in the green and fertile Hadoti region of south-east Rajasthan. Come here to relax or take part in the many interesting activities on offer.

Best time to visit
The best time to visit this part of Rajasthan is in the months of November, December, January and February when the weather is warm and sunny and just right. October and March can be reasonably good times as well but that can vary from year to year. As for the other months, if you can bear the heat or the monsoon you are welcome, that is, if we have not escaped ourselves.
Memory Lane meets Home Page
This year, on 14th February, 2014, we were fortunate enough to entertain an 80-year old cousin of a cousin and her husband James to lunch.
Pamela Hawkins nee Pizey came to Kotah as an 18-year old with her parents. She has remained friends with Maharao Brijraj Singh ever since. If you click on our Memory Lane link, you will see Pamela in the photograph sitting in the front row on the right. The Chambal gorge is the setting in the photograph. After the barrage on the Chambal River was built in 1960, the water rose to its present level and the river bed as seen in the photograph was submerged.

A sizable portion of the small farm was gifted by Col. Sudhir to his son during his lifetime. The rest was subsequently inherited by all four of his children.
